Hello all,

I know there is some information on this already but there isn't anything conclusive. I also want to get some advice for my specific situation.

Essentially, I would like to travel back home for the rest of the holiday period. My inland PR is processing and is estimated for March. Currently I do not have status as my original WP expired; the renewal was refused beforehand and I had to apply for restoration after it expired (which is also processing). Also note that I am from a Visa-exempt country.

Based on this, would I be able to return to Canada before the PR decision?

Many thanks.

I should add that I have already submitted my fingerprints (about 6 weeks ago), and the categories I qualify under are CEC and Skilled Workers.

Hi

As you are currently in Canada illegally, you really shouldn't leave. You have a higher chance of being refused re-entry.
