Travel while waiting for PGWP with valid TRV

Hi everyone,

I have just finished my master's degree and I am applying for my PGWP. Seems like the processing times are long and I plan on travelling after applying (Sep 2020) and returning in (Feb 2021).

I am aware the study permit expires 90 days after completing the degree so that means (Nov 2020) but my TRV is valid until Aug 2021

As I checked on CIC:

I can return as a visitor after the 90 days if my application is not approved yet or as a worker if approved.

Is this correct?

hi- I am in similar situation as you. Did you travel? and were you able to get back to canada alright?

I would appreciate any information you can provide?
