Hi

I came to Canada on eTA in April 2025 and after receiving AOR from my outland sponsorship application, applied for a SOWP. Since I am now on implied status, I was wondering if I can travel outside Canada (max 3 weeks). My eTA is valid until 2029 therefore with a valid visa and SOWP & Outland spousal application in progress, would there be any issues traveling back into Canada?

Any advice or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

No issue. You are a visitor and will attempt to reenter as a visitor again.

And btw this has nothing to do with OWP application nor your outland sponsorship.
You have a valid eTA and you can re-enter as a visitor.
This is not about implied status.

Hey, just sent you a private message!

Just follow up question, I came to Canada in apr 2025 as mentioned and now it will be 6 months on eta at the end of oct. Would I be breaking any laws by overstaying past October.

If you are on a visitor visa you can stay maximum for 6 months. If you go over 6 months that is for sure overstay and it can have severe consequences on your sowp spousal sponsorship or even when you re-enter Canada. Thats the foremost condition for visitor visa holders not to exceed stay for more than six months in a single entry. Hope this helps

I thought if you received an AOR and applied for the SOWP along with PR application under process, then the applicant has a maintained status?
