I landed in Canada in 1972. My husband is a Canadin citizen and moved to Midddle East in 1981. Since than i have been here with my husband who works here. My kids were born in Canada and are Canadian citizens. I have been to canada a number of times in the interim.
I got my first P R card in 2004--it expired this year on july 8-i could not travel before that as it is our 37 anniversary in 10 days time.I applied for a travel document -but i was not given any time limit as to when i will get it. i go to canada at least once sometimes twice a year as my daughters family is there. i am booked to go on july 28th but i dont know whether i will get it.
