Travel document processing time in moscow

Anyone with recent experience obtaining a travel document at the Embassy in Moscow? i was just wondering how long it normally takes for them to process it. I have been waiting for 2 weeks and have not heard anything back yet :-(

I had to travel to Russia due to family emergency while my PR card had already expired. The case is fairly straightforward (in my view) since I included plenty of documents showing that I have always lived in Canada since landing...

Any info would be very much appreciated!

One more thing ... Does anyone know if they use only whatever documents I provided for status determination or do they also consult CIC officers in Canada (which would explain delays)

I doubt if they contact CIC officers in Canada. It will be based on the documents you provided. It is however possible that they might want to verify some of the documents you provided for authenticity. For example if you submitted paystubs, they might want to call your employer to make sure the paystubs you submitted are genuine. Now this is just my thinking.
