Good day everyone, hope you are all doing well and healthy during these times. I just have a question in regards the travel ban and the border being closed. My fiance is here on vacation, she came mid January and is supposed to go back at the end of May. Im just wondering that if the travel ban is still in play at that time, how will she be able to go back? Will she be able to have implied status or would she be declared an illegal. Also if she was to be able to stay due to this pandemic not being her fault how will she know when she can leave once the ban is lifted? Thanks and have a good day!

She’d have to extend her stay as if there wasn’t a ban. There would be no implied status

The Canadian travel ban does not stop her from leaving Canada.

If she wants to stay longer, she should apply to extend her visitor status.

We have taken the precaution of applying tk extend her stay, we've completed one of the pdf forms but im not sure how to link it to the online account. Can someone help me, i know you have to apply 30 days before your time is up to extend your stay, and shes only got 4 days to do so. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If she is leaving Canada in two weeks, there is no need for her to apply for an extension.

She would like to stay in Canada a bit longer, my question is if its too late for her to apply?
No - not too late. The 30 days is only a guideline.
