Translating documents from Japanese to English for PR application.

I know all the Japanese documents have to be translated. As far as I know there are two routes to get that done.

1. Certified translator

2. Professional translator, then get everything notarized at the Canadian embassy.

In Japan, I don't think there are any certified translators recognized by Canada. Can anyone tell me differently?

If I get them done by a professional translator and notarized, is that acceptable on the application? About how much do you guys think it will cost? Anyone been through this?

Going to Canada to get it done is not an option right now. Expensive and time consuming.
