I have submitted a transit visa(which belongs to TRV) in person in NYC on 4/2 2013, the officer told me it would took 30 days to issue and it has been nearly 20 days; my flight is on May. 9th and having seen those situations posted here is getting me NERVOUS!!
I did not get a receipt or case/file number after submitted the application, the only thing I have got is the tracking number of the USPS express mail envelope.
Anyone got the same situation or could tell me what I should do besides waiting? Especially how can I know the status of application without a file number? I have sent an email about this yesterday...
