I know similar questions have been asked multiple times in this forum but I am unable to find the answer to my exact query by searching.
I want to transfer funds from my HDFC NRE account in India to my Canadian checking account and HDFC is not letting me initiate the transfer through netbanking. They are insisting that I send a signed form for outward remittance via courier to branch in India where the NRE account is established - scanned copy in mail will not work either.
Has anyone transferred funds from their NRE account to Canadian account? Is there any easier process than this? I want to transfer the funds piecemeal and this would require me to send multiple couriers. This seems overly onerous.
