Transcripts and birth certificates

Hi Guys,

Quick question....im sponsoring my husband so im just going through the checklist before I FINALLY send everything. So question is...i dont see anywhere where they say they ned his transcripts and birth certificate..did anyone send these in? He is from South Africa and I cant seem to find where it says they are needed. But i thought i saw somewhere eon this forum stating they are needed...Thanks.

I'm not sure this is accurate - maybe someone else can answer as well.

From what I remember, there was no requirement to send transcripts or birth certificates specifically. The general requirement appears to be for some proof of identity (in my wife's case, she sent a photocopy of her national ID card) as per Appendix A of the region-specific instructions. Our instructions were "West Europe" specific.

Well it does not say they are needed in the ap persay but it does ask you for proff of his birtrh and such how do you prove this without cert.They don't take your word for it.

Thank you very much..I called CIC CANADA and they said i would need to include his birth certificate and transcripts only if they are requested in the region specific forms (Africa) In my case the birth is required but the transcripts are not. I really appreciate your time and help. Good luck!!
