Transcript in sealed envelope.

my questions :

since new rule states that all visa office checklist documents to be submitted to CIO are all photocopies.

what happens to the university transcripts that are meant to be in university sealed envelopes ( my visa office is Accra).
are we going to open it or write a cover note stating why its not included.

Do not open the sealed envelope! It has to be given to them in the sealed envelope. Its one of the few documents that they need originals.

As per my university rules, they can send the transcripts directly to the office where these are required.

So, I am in a fix because I am yet to apply and if they send the transcripts to CIC, i don't know how CIC will get an idea. Nobody knows that his/her case would be processed or not. So, what to do ??

You need to instruct the University to sent the transcripts in their sealed envelope to you. You then sent it as part of your supporting documents when submitting your application.

Suggest that you name the university then. There may be other forumers who have been to the same university and have managed to find a way to get it. They would be able to give you the advise you need.

my wife has a degree from punjab university.. even they dont give the sealed packet..
they also say that they will send the copy to CIO...

I would suggest getting copy of this rule from them and attaching it with your application and asking them to send the transcripts to the CIO... mention in ur application that the university will send the packet to CIO .. ask the university to mentioned ur name and DOB on the top of the packet... thats the best way yaar

Ya, i agree that whole of punjab or lately even India works on jugaad only ;D

I was planning to apply without these transcripts and attach semester wise mark sheets and final degree copy along with a note that transcripts would be sent directly by university upon request. I don't know whether university will bother to give me a communication about this.

once the university send the transcripts to cio.. ask them to give u the dispatch number..

u may send the dispatch number to the CIO in ur application

Actually, i feel this exercise unnecessary as I am not sure whether my application would be processed or not (1000 cap). Moreover CIO also might not take care to keep it with them in case it reaches before the application.

At the mean time you should include the required educational documents without university sealed envelop and ask the university to give u written explanation with heading "To Whom It May Concern" or " To CIO" and write procedure/rule of sending directly, - and get your transcript attested by the university-attach this letter to your documents. I think this should be OK enough.

My dear friend,

For post 26/6 applicants, I don't think that CIO would do the same treatment. If you have gone through a recent thread, one of the applications returned because of non availability of formal birth certificate with the initial application.

So, consider yourself very fortunate.
