hi friends
has anyone got transcripts from pune university through mail, can you share how you did it. on their site they are saying- attested photocopies, but in gulf countries no one attests educational documents. can i send only plain xeroxes. also do they send sealed envelopes of transcript

Hi Roy,

I got my transcripts from Univ from Pune 5 years back, but when they say attested copies, you need to send the attested ones only. They will not accept non-attested copies.

The best way is, scan the original copies, send it to someone in Pune, ask that someone to show the scanned copies to some advocate, pay him his fees & get it attested. Or else, find out a good advocate who would help you to attest them by seeing the scanned copies.

hi soonerorlater
thanks for your prompt reply, but did you receive them over mail? i am outside india and here attestation is difficult (only ministry of hr can do that in new delhi-here no one touches your papers, not like india unfortunately), no one in pune to help. myself and my wife passed out some 15 years back so we are worried. and asking.

This is the only solution man. I got it done personally 5 years back but i know friends who got this done through mail. They did the same thing & worked out for them.

Catch hold of a sensible advocate & send the scanned copy to him. Ask him to take copies, attest the same & send the same to Univ of Pune on your behalf or send the attested copies back to you & you forward the same to Univ of Pune. This way it could be worked out right?

thanks, good idea, hope to catch someone. but tell me... in how much time will i receive them by post, any idea? also if i dont get proper lawyer and have to go myself, will i get it in one day? as i dont live in pune.

Would atleast take 4-7 weeks to get the transcripts by mail.

If you go personally, would take 2-5 days depending on the work load they have.

thanks mate, since its both our mark sheets then maybe it would be wiser to try and go in person. my aor has already come and i am feeling jittery to depend on mail. there is always the chance it will delay..that means i'll have to go to pune twice:( thanks once again.

I need to apply for my transcripts from Pune University. I have downloaded the application form, and am trying to figure out how to fill in the marks on pages 2 and 3 of the form.

The table on the form has 4 columns labelled as "Int. 20/40", "Pract. 20", "Ext 60/80" and "Total 100"

Can anyone pls explain what Int. and Ext are?

On my marksheet, I have marks for Paper (PP), Term Work (TW), Practical (PR) and Oral (OR). Can someone please help explain how this maps to the 4 columns mentioned above?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

int: is internal exam marks and ext: is external exam marks. this is the format for many professional courses like engg, pharmacy, dental etc of pune univ. maybe you can retype your info by just changing the headings. they anyway have a set format of transcript for every course. so when you send the xerox of your marksheets they will automatically fill it in the transcript. if you go in person you dont have to give any form, just pay the money and show the xerox against the originals. so dont worry.

Thanks for Replying back.

Now in the marksheet, we have
Theory Papers which are of 100 Marks,
Practicals which are of 50 Marks
and Term Work which are of 25 Marks. Also every year has around 22 subjects.

For Eg take subject as DataStructures, Theory is for 100 and obtained marks are 70, Practical is for 50 and obtained marks are 40.
Now how do i fill in the form?
Or as suggested by you, should i create a new table, change the headings and write all the info into that? Because in a theory paper, its total is 100 marks with no bifurcation for Internal Marks or External Marks. Same is for Practicals and Term Work.

I am actually thinking of sending the form by just filling the first page of the form along with the attested marksheets.

Regards

Pune Uni is good...try Bombay uni...they are a nighmare.....

i got it in person, the guy didnt take that table which i had downloaded but took the front page- i think with name and signature, and he checked my originals with xerox. and took the fees. you can check on net, u'll get their examination section phone number, u can call them up then ask for transcript section and clarify. if u stay overseas it is slightly expensive but they do respond. hope this helps.

They say 125 rupees per year fees. Is this fees per year per transcript. I want to send them a draft by mail and was wondering if i make it for 125X4 or 125X4x10(total number of transcripts requested). Also they asked to add 100 rupee fees for international address this too is per transcript? does anyone know? Also how long does it take to get transcripts by mail to USA?

It seems when I graduated I never got my certificate only got a special certificate.
I did apply on the net and send them a copy by mail but it's been one month they did not answer me anything and send them e-mail also never answered.
Any one is living in Pune send me a PM.
good luck
