Tracking New PR card in MY CIC

I landed in Canada Last Saturday (30-Sep-2017) for first time as a PR. I read on this forum here that we can track PR card status by linking it to my CIC account. But in that thread I didn't find anyone who had actually received PR card after doing this step. Has anyone done this and tracked PR card successfully ? Is this a safe method or will doing this cause some error in PR card production (I know I am being a bit paranoid, but i just wanna be sure). Can someone share their experiences ?

I linked mine. I don't think it will cause any problem. Its pretty easy. I did in first time
