I'd be wary of using that option. It is usually if you were notified it had been approved, printed and mailed but never got it in the mail and its been 6 weeks. you sign a solemn declaration and they reprint and resend.
it is NOT for delays in receiving a card that has not been approved or printed at all.

when you click on solemn declaration, it says
Use this form if:
-you have waited six weeks longer than the normal processing time and you still have not received your PR card; or
-your PR card was lost, stolen or destroyed but you don’t want to reapply for a new one right now.

Under processing times.. "Due to disruptions caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), processing times are no longer accurate. We’re working to process applications as quickly as possible" ...so processing times NO longer apply at the moment.

If you have to travel,
-request urgent processing of PR card https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/urgent.html
-OR apply for a PRTD (permanent resident travel document) when you get to destination

You know I waited 10 months for my FSW PPR.

Might as well be extra extra patient and sip that HORRENDOUS vanilla watery tim hortons coffee. Sorry, UK & US have better coffee! Feel bad for their economy now...

Hi all. I landed with my wife on March 8, 2020 and haven’t even got SIN number yet or the PR card. I was planning on going back to India on March 27, 2020 but due to shut down in India, I am stuck in Toronto. I wanted to ask if I go back to India without SIN, will it be a problem ?

Not a problem. You only need a SIN number for work. When you open a bank account some banks may ask for it, too, but some are happy to wait until you get one.

So, yes - you can go home without SIN.

New PR's who are having trouble with basic things like phone sim and bank account - Play your 'Damsel in Distress' Card. Look Vulnerable. Look Weary. Look Sad. - See how the response changes. Make a genuine plea/request.

KEEP YOUR EGO ASIDE! Just request honestly and someone or another will help you. Reach out to people on social media for tips...

Linking of the PR card application is like a LUCKY DRAW.

There is no logic
There is no fixed timeline
There is no guarantee - but it does get linked after 35-40 days as per TRENDS.

Try after a gap of 10 days each week - after 35-40 days only it gets activated/tracked by their internal server it seems.

All of us should work for CIA now - we analyze so much! (we just use hypothesis!- and they work)

I got it linked the 3 rd day landed. Just enter the informaiton right as per the COPR. I linked both mine and my wife in the first attempt.
