Congratulation! Even my GU is 3/19 but so far didn't get the approved status, eager to see it.

Thank You! Yes, for this time, I am really lucky :) I was very concerned on the quality of the photos as they were taken in Walgreens and the person was not a professional photographer. He himself had made it clear he has not done it before and the risk of rejection will be on us.

I am glad the photos were accepted and not just one of them, all of them, really lucky & happy. Waiting for the cards to arrive.

Hi everyone, finally after 5.5 months today I got my cards.

October 9 Landing in Lewiston. Have been living in Canada 5 years.
Dec 3 Photo resubmission request - The letter got to our attorney on the 17th of December
Dec 20th Photos delivered - Used Fedex
Feb 28th attorneys got an email that cards were mailed
March 5th Cards actually mailed (date on the stamp)
March 10th delivered to Canada (different address than CIC told us they mailed to).
March 19th delivered overnight to the US

A few things to note for those of you in the process. Because we did everything through an attorney since this was a corporate sponsorship, we could not track ANYTHING online as most people do here.

Also, we requested that all info (photo resubmission and cards) were mailed to our Canadian address.

First photo resubmission was sent to attorneys, not our address -got to them 15 days late-

Attorneys emailed us that they got notice of CIC having mailed our cards to them (attorneys). 15 days looking for the cards. THey were sent to our OLD address in Oakville.

So just for information purposes. We had the email from CIC saying what mailing address they used and they used a different one.

I have been traveling in and out of Canada for the past 5 months via Buffalo. Some people have asked about this. I rented a car every time. Just answer shortly and honestly at the border. I crossed with passport and CoPR. In some cases they did not even look at the CoPR. Zero issues at boarder. My kids traveled with school for hockey on a rented coach bus and no issues either.

Good luck everyone! So glad this nightmare is over.

Ghost update means pr card approved?
Almost! Ghost Update means IRCC has accepted the photo and your physical PR Card is getting generated (in production). It usually takes a few days (1-3 days) to get the status changed again from Ghost Update to Approved.

Approved is the status once IRCC dispatches the PR Card. Only after they have dispatched the card is when they go ahead and mark the status as Approved.
