When was your ghost update???

My friend was landed this April, 2018 and still waiting for her card. She contacted to CIC two times - the first time was to update her mailing address (which was about 4 months ago) and the second time to ask when the card will be delivered (which was about 3 weeks ago). She also asked if her card has ever been dispatched, and the CIC agent said that her card was never been dispatched yet and she is not sure why there is such a delay. The agent also said that she will send a message to the related department to ask for necessary action. Does this happen to anyone? My friend is hoping to receive her card before this year ends.

Link you application to you account. You will see the basic updates. Unfortunately CIC has only 1 status change online.

Thank you, the back of card has some personal information and a strange combination of characters at the bottom (just like any other Canadian visa). I don't see any information about category.

No pr card will never say stream and stuff.. it just says u r a resident no distinction period
