Finally got the PR card today......71 days in total.long wait!!! Dispatched by CIC on June 20th
Landed on April 16th Toronto

to all applicants for PR cards; please use the ECAS 1-2 weeks after landing to check if your home address has been updated..
if not updated with your current Canadian address then you need to update it online or through the phone..

My PR cards were delayed because of that

I landed 3 weeks back. Still no information available on ECAS.

There will no information about the PR Card processing itself; but you can check your home adress if it is changed by now to your new Canadian address..

ECAS says it could not find any information regarding my application. I guess I will have to wait for few more days and check again.

yes it does NOT, that I have already said,
But when you log in using your UCI details you can check if your home address has been updated..

I am telling my experience and how I did not receive my PR card until now (73 days); was all because of the address not being updated.. after I call them and provided the address; I managed to see that my home address @ ECAS has been updated..

u got ur card in India? Because it took almost 6 days for the card to be in transit and that's kinda too much. I landed on April 21st and my card was dispatched on last Friday. I am eagerly waiting to reach it to my friend's house in Canada.

It only works for Paper based applications. Not for EE.

ecas is not working..... so i dont think any other way.

purplesnow and indian5911 pls try selecting pr card in client application status and then check ecas if it works for you. for me it didnt work.

Does one has to mandatorily stay in Canada after landing until he/she gets PR card? I had an understanding if we give an address within Canada for PR card delivery, the same will get delivered to that address, and the person at that address can then receive and send it to PR card holder by post to him in his/her respective country. (caveat is you should have that someone in Canada who can receive and send the card)

It took 6 days in total, because 2 out of 6 were non-business days. So actually it takes 4 business days.

Got the card finally! It took 1 day less than 10 weeks!
Landed on April 19th,
Card mailed on Jun 21st,
Received on Jun 27th

It might be a day difference, it takes 3-4 business days.
