Great, my parents smoothly landed via North Portal on October 29. What are your thoughts/expectations about receiving the card?

Can I travel(leave Canada and re-enter) before receiving my PR card? Is there any travel document needed(visa or PRTD)?

I got it in just a month. Many people recently have got it in 3 weeks. Even If asked to re-submit photos, it only takes an additional 2 weeks. Of course there will be exceptions.

Hi Guys. I have got my PR a couple of months ago and did my landing in may and then came back to my home country in a week. My PR card were mailed to the address provided (family member) and my family member brought it to my home country in-person (so nice of him to do that). Now I am confused if I can travel using the PR card or using COPR (I am in US so can travel by land as well)? If I travel using PR card and if the immigration officer cross verify the dates on my passport then wouldn't they question me on how I got my PR card while I was outside canada? Did anyone does something similar? Please advise.

Do you have to apply separately for the PR card, or is simply going through the landing procedures enough?
I only ask because I checked the online status tracker and can't find my application on there.

Aaaruhani,

You can safely return with your PR card.....don't stress,no IO will even ask why and what and when; a lot of people have done that. But still you can drive with a private car back into Canada with your COPR....so the choice is really yours.

All the best bra...

Cheers

Aragorn165,

The IO does it for you as you go through the landing procedures with your COPR.....that's all.

Cool

Guys,

I thought by now we should be having a lot of Octoberians saying they now have their PR Cards since people here a saying the card is now pretty quick; +/- 30 days......

To those who got them, please keep us updated guys.....we want to keep track.
