Hi! I am applying for a work permit with LMIA for myself and an open work permit for my husband. Our 3-yr old toddler is also accompanying us. What type of visa should I get for him? He will be enrolled in a child care center where I will be working. Should I get a study permit or a visitor visa for him? Hope someone could shed some light asap. Thanks!

Hi therainbowfish. Did you already got through with your application?
Me and my husband have a similar problem. Our kids are 9,6 and 2 and we wanted to include them in husband's application. But when we choose Study permit it asks for acceptance letter from school which we don't have. When we choose Visit all other types it asks about Supervisa for parents and grandparents and we don't know if we can apply for it. Otherwise it says they don't need visa at all and that we need to change our answers.. Husband's employer said we don't need to put kids into the application at all. But we just want to be sure.

Hi! I have submitted our application on December 12. Work Permit with LMIA for myself, Open Work Permit for my husband and Temporary Resident Visa for my 3 y/o son. We got the request for Biometrics (husband and I, minor not required) after 2 days and had our fingerprints taken on December 16. After that, no update on my CIC account until yesterday, December 26, which shows the biometrics info. Waiting still...

Also, it would be great if you can walk us through steps of the process. After application, i understand next step is bio metrics request. What next? Medical?

We had an upfront medical on 22 Nov.
Waited for Nov. bank statement to come out.
Submitted/Uploaded all papers/application on 12 Dec
Got the biometrics request for hubby & I on 13th Dec
Did the biometrics enrolment on 16th December
CIC account showed biometrics info on 26th December
Received passport request for all 3 of us on 7th January and submitted on the same day.
Received notification that passports were ready for collection on 9th January, collected that afternoon.
