To wait or not to wait?

Hi there,

My fiance and I are getting married in May this year. We are very very keen to apply for PR for Candada asap, but we have a dilema - should we apply now to get things moving (and then have to inform Immigration Office of my change of name, marital status etc) or wait until we are married and apply with my new name?

We are so impatient we want to apply now, but don't want to delay application by changing personal info part way through.

Any advice would be appreciated, Vicky

I'm not an expert, but I think you should wait, sometimes the changes in the application could slow down the things a little bit, hence maybe they already started the study and get the update, they'll need to restart the research, etc... I think you should move your marriage sooner (just kidding)

Thanks, I think we will get all if the paperwork pretty much completed then finish & send it all off after the wedding.
