Hello fellow citizens:

I am proud to have been naturalized to become a new Canadian. I love this country and I work hard to participate in building it.

I lived and worked in 5 other countries, mostly 1st world ones. I see that Canada of Harper is not Canada that we all loved and that Canadians who have been raised up in this country know. I followed the parliamentary discussion on Bill C-24 that has become a law, and I felt really sad for the route the Conservative are taking us into.

I know that many immigrants came from countries in which they were deprived human rights, and therefore many of us do not participate in the political discussion out of not used to, if not as a result of fear.

We need to stand firm for our rights and for our beloved Country, otherwise Canada will be like a social club not a country. In order you feel you belong, you need to feel that you own, and if you feel that you are under fear, you will never belong. We want the beautiful Canada that embraced democracy remain so for our children' generation and for the generations that come after.

Let's think on how we can get involved into running our country! Shall we start a forum topic or another forum in which Canadian citizens interact?
