To Skylla or Leon: Question regarding studies with expired card

Hi,

If my card gets expired and I am in Canada and studying in a College and so if I plan to go to a new college the college will ask for my pr card but it will be expired so will the landing papers work to study as a Canadian Resident ? Like what will I show to the new college ?? The landing paper showing proof of Permanent Resident in the passport ?

I don't know. I have heard someone talk about that it can be a problem to study with an expired card but I did not know if it was because of financial aid or something else. Try showing the expired PR card and your landing papers. You can tell them you already applied to renew but through no fault of your own, your application got picked out for residency questionnaire which means it will take forever.
