I'm a student in a one year post-grad program. After that, I will get a one year post-grad work permit.
If I get a position of investment representative with BMO Nesbitt Burns, will they help me with my work permit extension?
What type of company in financial industry would be a better choice for me in terms of my work permit extension?

You'd need to ask them if they will work with you to obtain an LMO. Without knowing anything about your situation it is difficult to say whether or not they will and whether or not they are the right company for you.

What kind of employer would like to help with work permit extension?
Would banks like to help with this?
Anybody with such experience?

Employer's hate LMOs. But being an exemplary employee with an employer makes it much more likely they will want to keep you. You might also consider asking them if they would extend permanent employment to you when you get a PR - in that case, you can get an Approved Employment Offer (AEO) that is vetted by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC - the folks that issue LMOs) and apply for permanent residency. There is no minimum "in Canada" processing time.

So to answer your original question, if your goal is to remain in Canada permanently, find someone that would sponsor you under your province's nomination program (each province has one) as that would generally take less than a year. Work for them on your PGWP and then when you become a PR you can continue to work for them. No LMO required.
