Hi der...
I have to send documents to ND CHC. and i had claimed points for relative(uncle) as well. but presently for last one yr he is in india and will go back in OCTOBER only. but i have to send documents by 15july(120days).
So i'll not be able to send his current credit card invoices, bills or any other documents which should be less than six months old showing his address.
So my query is- what documents other than PR card and landing papers should i ask him(uncle) to give me for sending them to CHC ND???????
Thanks in anticipation

visaexperts its also there in guide

Documents submitted as proof of residency in Canada must be less than six (6)
months old. Example of documents:
• income tax assessment (Canada Revenue Agency) for the relative,
• telephone bills,
• credit card invoices,
• employment documents, and/or
• bank statements

Yes, It is there in guide line but all are not required in every case.

Suppose, your relative is Permanent Residency of Canada and you are not able to manage/send PR card or any details above status regarding Permanent residency of your relative,

In that case only, you have to prove your relative present in Canada by Different Bills, Bank Account Details, Employment Details etc

visaexpert,
are u sure of what u are saying?
to me, u are trying to misinform this applicant.
to claim points for adabtability, other than pr cards and landing papers, it is in the guideline to submit utility bills, bank statements
and so on to confirm your relative is currently living in canada so why is visaexpert saying this is not a requirement. Did they change the rule that we are not aware of? be careful of what advise u give people on a public forum young man called visaexpert.

I AGREE WITH DUBEY CAUSE DURING MY APPLICATION I HAD SENT A COPY OF MY RELATIVES RESIDENT CARD BUT HOWEVER THEY AGAIN REQUESTED ME TO SEND PROOF THAT MY RELATIVE IS CURRENTLY IN CANADA AND THEY SAID THAT UTILITY BILLS AND HOUSE RENT RECIEPTS WONT BE ACCEPTED. THEY NEED INCOME TAX RETURNS FILED , BANK STATEMENTS, COPY OF CREDIT CARDS, PROOF OF EMPLOYMENT IF ANY.
SENDING ONLY A COPY OF PR CARD WONT SUFFICE. YOU WILL UNNECESSARILY LOOSE 5 POINTS.
REGARDS SAURIN.

Guys thats fine we need all of these documents, but suppose if somebody's relative just moved there as a PR then how they can provide

income tax returns
job employment letter
pay slip
bank statements
copy of credit card (bank won't issue credit card to new comer without job)

i am sure there is some other way to solve this, As per CIC guideline they ask for relatives in Canada but they don't have any objection if the PR relative is just a new comer

cheers

hiii
you can do one thing ask your uncle if he uses online banking if he uses he can take printout for the recent statement and if he also make payments of other utilities from that account that would be also listed there and since he is so long there i think he is not working fulltime here and i think as far as tax return is concened your uncle can get it from canada revenue agency website but he will get for 2008 there because he wouldnot have filled the tax for the year 2009 yet since he is in india..

i hope it helpss

hii sukh
the 3 most important thing hich cic want to know about relative

1 citizen or pr(if u citizen send photocopy of citizen card if pr send it photocopy of pr and record of landing)
2 whats the relationship( for this you have to send birth certificate, family tree{if needed} )
3-proof of residence in canada( for that send the bank account statement, utility bill so even if someone is new pr here he can have bank account and utility(mobile, landlin, internet)
