While I check my status online for NOC 2171 (with UCI num)

Permanent Residence Application Status: In Process

We received your application for permanent residence on August 13, 2014.

It has been in this status for 4 months now.

What should I do at this point?

Is there a point of contact that I can reach out for the status update?

Welcome TheBestInTown to the forum and congratulations for your first post. Please send a CSE (Case specific enquiry) to CIC and ask status update. Good luck

Hi. Which one is your VO?

I don't see the reason you are nervous for? If your application was received in mid August that means that you've received PER just a month ago. There are many people who sent apps in June and don't have MR yet. It, also, depends which VO you belong to - if you are in Sao Paolo, Ottawa or Bucarest it might came very soon. FYI Vienna VO has just completed May applicants.
Don't be so impatient, the whole procedure is super fast this year. Previous "generation's" processes could take up to five years to be completed ???

Hi our file was received by CIC on 12 th Aug and we had high hopes, however received a rejection letter from cic on 28th Dec saying the the spouse's family information form was not sent. However it was already sent...and the most frustrating the rejection letter was sent by CIC in Oct(last week between 20-25). And got the post only on 28th Dec by then we could not reapply also cap was reached by then.. can we appeal???

I am not an expert but I would think if you know for sure that the error is from their end, then you should definitely try to contact them and get this corrected.

Guys, JUST AN UPDATE.....

Just checked the status online and found out that they started processing my application on January 26, 2015.

I also got the email saying they will need me to provide Police report from my home country, FBI report from US and my Health report along with my Spouse & Son's.

I submitted my FBI PCC on Mid November and waiting on CC to be charged.

Just paid RPRF 980.00 using my CC and also scheduled Medical examination for next week.

Hoping to get CC charged soon for FBI report and praying for my fingerprints to be accepted.

Good luck to all of you!

Congrats for moving to the next step. Now that you have received Medical Request and RPRF, it means the VO has given a positive selection decision and once your medicals and security checks are done, you should expect passport request. Based on the average processing time for Ottawa office, you should get your visa by April

Congratulations! It really makes one crazy to see the same line on ECAS over and over... till finally one day it magically changes! Hope the rest of your process is a speedy one.
