Do you think you will get your AOR before they process your BOWP application? If so, then you will quite likely be granted your BOWP.

I actually wrote them a letter (and attached it) to explain that I am in the country currently working so therefor I don't have any travel plans.
So far my application status is still 'open'
When does your work permit expire? And do you have an AOR?

For Point 1 : yes if you have received AOR.
Point 2: No idea, seniors can answers, for me it didn't come.
Point 3: I took photo from my Samsung S3 & resized as per the requirement. My BOWP got approved last week.

If I want to apply for the BOWP by mail (not online) do I just complete Form IMM 5710 and mail it? Is that all you need to do? Also, does anyone know what mailing address to send it to?

You need to complete the 'Come to Canada' questionnaire correctly. That means giving negative responses to questions about using scanners. In classic CIC logic, the application criteria is slightly different for a mail application (e.g. no photos are required).

You will get the mailing address as part of the correct application package; the CIC website does have the address for the office in Vegreville where you need to mail the application.

Actually I'm in the same situation, I applied for a BOWP before I received my AOR.
It is still in the 'Open' stage on MYCIC. I now have my AOR, does anyone know how to attach my AOR to my existing BOWP application?
I guess I should just call them, lol

Did you include a letter explaining the lack of AOR?

I didn't update the CIC with my AOR because it seemed somewhat silly to update the CIC with information that they had provided me. An agent will enter your UCI into the system at some point during the BOWP application process, should be clear that you have submitted a PR application that has been accepted into the system (i.e. the app has passed first stage eligibility).

You can try to update them with the code, but don't be too worried if you don't.

I have applied for BOWP on Feb 4th and still awaiting for it. I might have to travel to my home country just after I receive my BOWP. Can I apply for a TRV from my home country based on my BOWP?

If you apply online, you can apply from anywhere. Either ways, there is no restriction on where you need to be to apply for these. You are either eligible or you are not.
Also u can apply for TRV at the same time as BOWP. You just have to select(check) both in form 5710. No extra charge.

i would like to apply for the bowp online.
i upload all my documents but i can't go to the next step "review application" and process the payment
i upload the imm5710F, all supporting documents and a letter of explanation.
i don't know what i did wrong !
someone has an idea?

I just want to clarify somethings . I applied for my BOWP yesterday and it reached Vegreville office today. May question is in regards to the application IMM5710E. I choose "Work permit with the same employer" Option for Section 1 Question 3. I choose the option "Open Work Permit" in the Details of Intended work in Canada section and did not fill up question 2 to 7. Is this okay? If not what is the best option to update the application?

I am worried since the current processing time is 97 days and current WP will expire will expire in 102 days. I do not want any complication towards the end. I might not even have time to respond appropriately.

If you can afford $255 apply online & forget about paper application, by the time your paper application process starts you would be having Open work permit.

I had selected "An initial work permit or a work permit with a new Employer" , rest of the option are same blank 2-7 & choose Open work permit.

I applied BOWP 07th Jan & got it 10th March successfully...
