Hi guys,

I am new to this thread. after a long wait i received my AINP today,

But my work permit is expiring on March 13, If I wait for AOR from CIC, my work permit will expire.

So I was working if I can bridge my work permit with AINP?

Once we get BOWP, what is the BOWP start date. Is it valid right from the day it is approved or they align the start date with the end date of the previous work permit?

It is not aligned with the end date of previous work permit.. the start date is the date this enw wp is approved.. my previous PGWP expired august 20th 2014 and i applied for BOWP 19th August-14.. Got BOWP approved on 27th October-14 so now its valid till 27 Oct-15..

Thanks for the reply. SO between 20th Aug 2014 to 27th Oct 2014 you were couldn't work in Canada right?

Yes he did. If yo apply before your permit expires then you're on Implied Status, and you're allowed to work.

Wow, thanks :D . I didn't know about implied status.

Hi all, great thread thanks so much everyone.
However i'm struggling to upload my IMM5710E form. When I upload it, it tells me that the expiration date i supplied in the questionaire does not match the Restoration in the IMM5710.

Has anyone experienced this? The date on my questionaire is correct, does anyone know what question on the form the Restoration refers to?

Thanks for any help

It is the same form for both.. its just one application which is for open work permit but the category for that wp is bridging.. IMM5710E

yes u can apply your wife SOWP along with ur BOWP.. Just write a letter mentioning u hv alrdy applied for your bowp and provide them the file # for your bowp.. since u would probably be doing it online so u should have file # very soon.. its not necessary to provide file # but "a good to have"

hi, regarding the SOWP form, is it also IMM5710 or IMM1295? i checked the IMM5710 form and the current country of residence is default to Canada but my wife is still in my home country. So, should we use the IMM1295 work permit outside of canada instead for SOWP?

thanks in advance

Its MM1295 for work permits applications outside of canada..

Hi, In the IMM5710 form Question no. 3, What should I select:

1. A work permit with same Employer
2. An Initial work permit with new employer
3. Restoration of your status as worker
4. Temporary Resident Permit

So for SOWP from within canada the same form as BOWP (IMM5710) should be supplied?
