Hope I'm not double posting - my last post didn't seem to go through.
I applied for my BOWP today and after paying online, it showed the receipt as just plain text (like when a website doesn't load right). Is that what everyone else got? Did you have to do anything after that? It wasn't even formatted in tables for me like the regular receipts for RPRF and paying for the initial application.
smurf_smurf said:Yes, I know about CIC requirement of less than 4 months WP expiry. Why are you saying mid 2014 then? Shouldn't be early 2015?
LPS said:You should have received a receipt by email as well. This receipt is the same as the one you see after making payment (or at least it was when I did it).
upwardspiral said:Uhoh - I didn't get an email with the receipt
In myCic it does show up as "received" though.
iam_toby said:Didn't get a receipt either. All I got was the website saying they've received my payment and
nothing else.

If she was with you on work visa/permit, she would be dependent applicant in your BOWP application..and from your CIC account.
I were you I would take a chance/risk and apply for her Open work permit separately once you get your BOWP,within Canada. If the officer is generous he would give her the work permit. Then you can change her visitor visa to worker visa.
If it gets denied then I would send her back to India and apply from there for Spouse open work permit. It takes 2 months or so to get visa and permit from India but that would be your only option.
