IS A LETTER FORM AN EMPLOYER REQUIRED OT BE SENT WIHT THIS APPLICATION FOR A BWOP

No. You're applying for an OPEN work permit so it's actually better NOT to include it.

But the document check list asks for an employemnt offer letter.

Also can u list whet exactly one does need to send

for example in the form under employemnt history yo have ot list your current employer dont you?

The document checklist is pretty generic, it's not tailored to the BOWP application. I suggest to check out the other BOWP thread, it contains a lot of useful information and tips: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/bowp-how-many-of-you-have-applied-and-received-it-successfully-t139027.0.html

Hope this helps! The BOWP application is really pretty tiny compared to the CEC application.

Does anyone know if it's actually possible to go to the border and flagpole to get this open permit there? I have a closed work permit until October 2014 but that company just let me go. I know folk have managed to be successful despite the 4 month before expiry thing but my main issue is that there's lots of jobs coming up right now but it's a time where everyone's hiring and if I have to wait a month I could well be out of work for anywhere up to 4-6 months! I've managed to find out a lot of very useful information here and have the form completed thanks to that, and I definitely qualify, so now I'm wondering if I can go to the border and get it like I did with my PGWP or if this absolutely MUST be done online (or via snail mail) only.

I don't think you can get BOWP at the border..

Can I use a copy of the statutory declaration of common law union that I sent with my original PR application or should I get a new one?

better to call CIC and Check before sending BOWP applciation .i think copy of the statutory declaration of common law union would fine for BOWP.

I beg to differ with sara007's post. I actually went down to the border last week. At first the CBSA officer was not familiar with the BOWP for CEC applicants but found the details after a few minutes. Unfortunately, my WP is still valid till June 2014. But he told me to come back in 8 month. ;D

Since the BOWP is pretty new, I will print the news release about the BOWP and take it with me to the border. It should work. Hey btw, it doesn't cost a dime to drive to the border and ask! Well, maybe the fuel, hotel, and all the stuff you might buy in the US does. ;D

Well that would be interesting. So you're going to try this with just the BOWP bulletin? Or will you take the application package with you as well? I doubt it would be the same type of permit, but I am definitely supporting the idea of you trying it out... ;)

I expect it to be similar to a standard WP. All I needed at the border was the LMO and job offer. I will take my AOR and the BOWP bulletin and try it. 8) But... I hope that my PR application will be approved by Feb 2014!

I just wanted to share my experience at the border last week and what the CBSA officer told me. :)

Hi canadacec2012,

Thanks for the tips on BOWP. However, do you mean the paper application or online application? If I leave the employment section(Q2 - Q7)blank on online application, it might get validated.

I still doubt that it would be that straight forward.. !

Not sure if anyone has received BOWP at the border.. !

The tips I have mentioned here will applicable for both Paper and online applications.
