It frustrates me when I see someone (who is in the SS) asking a question which is straight given in the SS. Hence, I didn't want to be a part of 2016 paranoia, yet I'm here with you guys on people's request.

Anyway, good luck with CC charging! Mind you, if you haven't set up a mobile alert yet; it takes hours to show up in your online banking.

I made a mistake in putting the postal code in the 'additional family information' form of my mother. I corrected it by putting a white marker and I wrote the correct one. Is that a deal breaker for my application?

Hi, Can you please clarify mobile alert for credit card? They send you an alert when such a transaction takes place?

Yes you can do it, call the bank, inform them that you need to be notified if there is any transaction above 500 cad or 100cad or 1000 cad, they will send alerts via sms or email based on your choice and it differs bank to bank; but since we are not sure what the transaction description, they cannot put the alert on that, only feasible is on the amount, which I have done that too.

Again technology, no one can gurantee; unless and until you receive an alert...

Just found out that I can't set up transaction alerts ion my BMO mastercard. Too bad. I guess I'll just check my statement daily for the next few weeks. Sigh.
