FYI:
CIC accepted money orders and bank drafts last year. See details here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18cBR0XqWnHriJx7_oThC3q5YPb1Qzsu9XMfy7vNFXY8/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=1873367755
So whoever paid by those, don't worry.

Hi Ya61x, thanks for the spreadsheet for 2015 applicants. I just noticed your user name on the second row of the sheet. So your application was accepted last year Jan 2, 2015 8:14am, and payment was charged on January 8th? I am just curious. Was your packaged returned last year? I am assuming you used credit card last year, right? Thanks.

Yes. Two apps last year - M + D & In-laws. One was accept and the other one was returned.

Thanks a lot, everything crossed, so I have to wait AOR to know ?

What I would do, is to call them in about a month to ask if you made it to a cap.
I hope they would be able to check it for you by then.
Officially, yeah, it might take a few month in your case to get any indication, unless they return the application earlier for some other reason, which I hope for you wouldn't happen:)

There goes my application.. My credit card expires in may. How could i miss that.. Errrggghhhh
Have to wait another freakin year...

I would be happy for people whose MO/bank draft get accepted but pissed at CIC.

I had to go through a lot of trouble to get a certified cheque in the absence of a cheque book. When I had opened an account a long time ago banks used to give 5 cheques. I had saved them and used them this time.

BMO flat out refused to certify them and then TD came to rescue. I knew I needed the TD account one day although I don't use it.

Can someone post the link to the 2014 spreadsheet if it exists?

Also, has CIC started working on any of the 2014 applications yet? There's a separate thread that discusses that the processing time are going down for spousal sponsorship. Trying to assess if there is any improvement to the PGP process.

It shouldn't be a problem.
CIC put 9 months there to get a safe zone for them to have enough time to get to the payment processing stage. Based on last year, 90% of payments were processed within a month.

Wondering how one of your applications made it and the other one was returned, incomplete application or bad courier?

Hey ya61x,

I think that in this case an officer will ignore your receipt and charge your credit card.

Hi Luda345, thanks !! Just called CIC, says as long as I sent IMM5770 (Fee Payment Form ), they will go ahead charge it from CC, Later I have to call for refund for prepaid. They will send me link in email regarding the refund later, CIC website was down by the time.

Have you guys ever checked out the spreadsheet at all other than entering your info? It's all there. Spend few minutes.

I hope you are rite. But i just read the form, they clearly say that your application will be returned if credit card expires within 9 months. I already feel like crap..

Hello everyone... looks like lot of excitement and curiosity after one CC payment got charged as per ya61x.

I hope even Jan 5th apps get into CAP :(

I know there's a lot of information on the spreadsheet and I did spend a few minutes on it that's where I got the information about Ya61's package and asked him about his returned packages etc. I don't think I need to look at the spreadsheet again as I do not have further questions whatsoever
