Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

Oh dear. I just spoke to a friend who's husband wrk in cic Mississauga. I ask for what happen in Monday and ask if they can check if my application s in the cap and sh ask her husband. He say that in 2-3 week I will know because what they do is file all applications in a-z and they pull 10 at the front and 10 form middle and 10 form back and they repeat until they have 5000. So it doesn't matter which courier u use. Oh and they get too many en elvelope from Canada post too

We know this isn't what happened last year - because we have a fairly specific cut off time on Tuesday when we know the cap was reached. Applications that arrived before this time were accepted and after this time were returned. So it certainly mattered what courier company you used last year.

So if what you are saying is true, it means CIC has changed the process this year. You should ask your friend to ask her husband why CIC has changed the process this year.

A-Z? Like applicant's first name or last name? Or, courier's name? I'm confused.

Agreed. That's why I think this information is highly suspect.

Also - why on earth would CIC waste their time alphebetizing 5000+ applications? Much more likely they just start with the first cage of applications (i.e. first applications received), review those, then move on to the next cage, etc. FIFO.

Chris, I am a little confused with this matter. VW sent out waybills with 8:10am on it. But they admitted that they were the 4th inline. True?

I get it you guys are one of the top three. so if there were three counter, unless there was someone finished at 8:10am, which none of you guys did. Then what is this 8:10am?

Only at the beginning part not the later there were a lot behind with a few packages numbering between 1 to 10 of newbies conned by their company to come there in the morning. I had sympathy for them for sure. the order has been revealed in previous posts . There is enough data there to piece it together up to the top 10. I don't think its appropriate to say certain things out of respect for other companies as I do not know how they want to handle their own information and data or what they want to reveal beyond the general information I provided about them. They will have to source that out if for no other reason except for accuracy. Plus I don't want to misinterpret any numbers I cant quantify properly and objectively. But I can control my own information ad disclose that which I have. Like I said ya61x is the best source and is based on hands on, onsite research.

I cannot speak for VW. CPC does not time stamp that's their decision and as the highest authority of this process and I'm not going challenge them. they have their reasons. I spoke about the time difference reasons in a post. I think I was very clear as to why. I was very clear as to several questions for members. I post when I'm out in the end. that's my decision as to how I handle it.

I never said they didn't exist. I said I never heard of the messengers express. I have heard of the messengers international. there is a difference. If that's the case and its one and the same thing then you have them entered twice in the list position 2 and 9 . I know the owner of the latter really good guy and good international overnight service which is their prime specialty.

I agree. I also believe use the ending time is the most honest way to handle it. As I said before, guys from Metro are nice reliable guys and are proud of what they are doing. As a business owner myself (oil related, not courier services), I always think it's the most important thing to run a business.

Is it wrong/dishonest for VW to use the beginning time? Hell no, it's just how they choose to run their business.

In the end, it is your own preference to pick which company to use.

I had spoken to Gary at VW Express and he had explained that they had reached the window at 8.10 and it took them about 20-25 minutes to driver all the applications and get out of there. Realistically anytime between 8.10 and 8.35 is what VWExpress's window of delivery is.
Don't worry about it- either end of the spectrum- you should be ok.
