Received Passport request on 20th July
Passport submitted on 25th July at Ottawa office.

Congrats revitfollower can you please share when did you do your medical? how long did it take the background check to conduct? I checked the excel sheet but you info are not updated

Medical Passed in DEC
Also submitted PCC in Oct from India and Canada to Ottawa office
Backround check 3-4 weeks in June

As per Cic call centre the status changed to you do not need medical exam at this time from medical exams were successful. This change happened after the medicals expired on 25 th July . And back ground check not started yet

NDVO, don't know what they r up to.

So please share if any one has some advise on this.

In this thread, I see PPR request in 4 days and in 2 weeks, how about for others?

For me the status changed to decision made in eCAS 2 weeks ago. Still waiting for the passport request.

Looks like people with their file at OTTWA office have started getting Passport requests.

But nothing has moved yet with the NDVO for any candidate.
Anyone with NDVO who got Passport request recently - if you guys can please share ? Thank You.

I didn't receive any email regarding this change. I check the status once twice every week.

Anyone from Jan 2016 PGP application, I have received an email with the sponsorship approval in March 2017 and file transferred to Ottawa office. I haven't received anything (i.e. Medical or PCC etc..) after that. Is it the same for everyone?

i am in the same boat here, approval recieved March2017, but the online application tool still says "application received" for PR application.

Hope NDVO guys wake up soon and get things going, listening about other visa offices getting through the files n NDVO being still is really upsetting. So hope for the best n see what comes up.

Except for a "false-positive" request that I got (NDVO acknowledged it was a mistake ), I don't see any other request from NDVO in this forum.

I have mailed NDVO about status of my application and their reply is as below

Dear Applicant,



This is with reference to your Email dated July 24,2017.



Under Canada’s immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks.



These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status.



In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application.



As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time.



We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part.



Please be assured that as soon as the checksare completed the next steps in this application will be determined.



Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.
