Tips for 2016 (Future) PGP Applicants

I got sa letter dt.July07 and file transferred to NDVO.I received an email dt.Aug.22 that it was a technical error and now my file is transferred to CPC-Ottawa.My file around on September30 turned In Process but when I click the button In Process it does not show from which date they started processing my file,it only shows they have received my file on January04,2016. I wish to undergo my medical and pcc process upfront once it shows that they have started processing my file from a particular date. Those who says that their file turned into application received from In Process was it saying from which date they have started processing? And then turned into application received or it was the case like me that does not show the date from which they started processing?

Immigration plan for 2017 is declared.Family sponsorship quota is increased from 80000 to 84000 but what is the effect on pgp is yet to study.

I am sponsoring my parents and they have no dependent. I have selected my father as the principle applicant. In this situation should I fill-up the from IMM0008ENU_2D for my mother(she is only dependent of my father)? I have considered this from only for my parents if they have any dependent and it is not for my kids and wife.

If you are talking about "Generic Application Form for Canada", you fill out only one form for your parents. Your father is the principle applicant and your mom is his dependent.

Parents quota still stuck at 20k
Rest spouse children quota increased from 60k to 64k

Change in definetion of dependent children.Age increased from 19 to 22 but will effect from passing of the bill may be 2017. We are not benefited from this.My younger daughter is 20 year's old but she has to struggle for PR going to another state of Canada and so as to we also with her.

I am on the same situation ,i got noticed in back pages that 6-7 persons are in the same situation,pl update when you find any thing.

I got my sponsorship approval on 22nd June 2016 and after two months my ecas in permanent resident application shows “In Process” on 26th of Aug.2016 but on 1st sept.2016 again turned to “Application Received” and still “application received”.

Can any one faced like this and if yes when will again gone to “in process” ,
when his/her file processed OR someone have an idea regarding this.

No correspondence after 22nd june from IRCC , four months has gone so worried.


Any other member having same situation please discuss in the forum as I am worried being after SA on 22nd June no progress in the file.

my first letter from ircc missisauga says my file transferred to NDVO that was easy for me as I belong to Delhi but after 8 days i got another letter saying it was system mistake and now your file is at Ottawa and rest of the story is placed above but we are not aware that when our file gives the date of "in process" or there were application received on 4 jan 2016.

no it did not say when they started the process. only said application received as far I remember.

My parents and brother landed today at Toronto airport. It was a busy morning and it took them 2.5 hours to get through immigration and customs. Thankfully their connecting flight is many hours away.

Photographer has stamped its company name at the back of picture and dated it however I was wondering if the person also put their name at the back of picture?

Out of the 2 photos, I wrote my mom's name and DOB on the back of only 1 photo (according to 5445EB). I left the other one empty.

I put both photos in one small photo-sized envelope and wrote my mom's name and application no on top (according to our PPR email instructions).

Please, follow the instruction you were given when CIC asked the photos.

Out of 372 applications that made the 10,000 quota,
211 received Sponsorship Approval (SA) and/or their file got transferred to LVO
102 received IME/PCC/RPRF requests
13 received PPR

which means
12.75% of the total 102 IME/PCC cases received PPR (6.16% of the total 211 SA/File Transfer cases received PPR)

These stats are solely based on the users of 2016 Timeline spreadsheet.

Yes, my parents send their pics to LVO. Write their name, DOB, Date of the pic and stamp of photographer. This is require on back of pictures.
