Timeline once in OTTAWA?

My husband had his MP finally call about our file. We were nearly finished in March and hadnt heard since then. The MP's office said the file was transferred to Ottawa July 7 but still has no VO? What is going on?! I see people applying 7 months after us and landing! How long until we are assigned an officer? My medicals expire in two days!!!

Unfortunately, there's no track record for CPP-O yet.

As for your medicals, note that OB 423 says the visa office may obtain a new certificate if your prior medicals have been done within the prior 15 months. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob423.asp - and note that the visa office must request it, you cannot. Thus, if they ask you for new medicals, you will need to go get a new medical examination.

Thank you, I think we are about done with this mess. ANd by that I mean, I won't re-do medicals. I have two kids who are not coming with me but would have to have their medicals re-done as well. As my husband and I have been living with 2000 miles between us for four years, and waiting on cic to pull it together for the last year while they have lost our file and closed offices, we simply cannot spend more time and money we do not have. I have watched countless people go through this system in half the time. I am setting a deadline and pulling the plug.
