Hi Dipan - If you are laughing, what should I do?? I feel myself a bloody-fool. Biggest fool. I left my present job and went on OWP to Canada. Now, neither I have Indian job nor have visa to go to Canada (where job is waiting for me). Atleast, you have an Indian job and can keep yourself occupied. What should I do?? My file reached NS in March 2013. 15 months means - around May 2014. What should i do till May 2014?? :(

I dont know whether I should laugh like you OR cry!! :'(

Yes in fact all classes are badly effected in NDVO in strike Federal Govt should take note and should take neccery actions to clear off the back log created.

I am really sorry for that but i want to clarify something in my reference those who applied (of course before strike) got visa in 2 months after they submit PP. Hope they work in our case like that.
Well never loose hope. When you are about loose hope, if you walk 2 more steps and you ll get something that will make you strong enough to sustain in bad time.

God bless you my friend.

Yeah... i too feel 2 months should be good enough. I atleast expect from them that they will have some exceptional fast processing in cases, who already secured a job in Canada(like me). They should consider putting such people on fast track. I have sent a request letter + job letter of my Canadian company, etc. Hope they give little thought for that as well...

I am sure that post the strike, they would've employed extra staff to clear the backlog, etc. Dont worry Dipan, I am sure we will get PP back with Maple sticker within 2 months of submitting our passports... dont think it will take that much time for you till July 2014.... dont worry. It will come max by Feb mid.

Moreover, from June-Sept, job hunting may be little tough as hiring will be little slow... and also as you are seeing this time winter is extremely harsh in North America (worst in 20 yrs according to news). So, I am sure ppl will go on vacations in summer this time..

Cant really predict NDVO working style.

For eg., I see Rashpalji got 1st AOR from NS in Apr 2013, but he already got and also submitted PPR. Whereas, SM got his AOR in Jan 2013, but PPR in Oct and I got AOR in March 2013, but got PPR in Nov.

Actually, if that way you see Rashpal is very lucky. Inspite of strike, he reached PPR, MR stage within 4 months of AOR!! Thats awesome.... :)

I and SM123 reached PPR, MR stage after 8-10 months of 1st AOR....!!! :O

Dont know what logic they apply. When I was in Canada, I met one person who applied freshly in Feb 2012 and in Sept 2012, he got PR and landed in Canada and in Sept 2013, he has purchased a house in Toronto...!!! Can you believe that?? He applied from India only and got PR within 8 months. It looks like whoever they "like" in-terms of requirement in Canada, they process faster...

For eg., if in a particular year, there is hot reqmt for Hotel mgmt guys, they will give PR within couple months. For IT and Engineers, it already over-flowing in Canada now, so they take it lightly.....

It all boils down to that fact that - you should be at the right place at the right time....!!!

Vineet I think most time difference is because of strike. The strike brought many dis-balances.but it should be okay now if they then make up with additional staff.

Gosmanu :- Truly said , we should stick to live our present life like a king untill this Canadian miracle happens ...

As per trends and expeeriences of earlier members ,Ndvo do not hold positive image in terms of issuance of timely visas.

I am not a expert to comment on ndvo working, they work on their own will ...

Totally agree with you raman1!! Infact, this is the same words I was telling my wife few days back... because of strike, dont know what timeline is fast and what is slow... unable to predict.. there is no clear pattern or trend...

As you rightly said, hope they put additional staff and clear the backlog soon

(which i feel they are doing actually... if you see spreadsheet, many people like Dipan, etc got 1st AOR in July 2013, File Transfer in Sept, but MR, PPR in Dec... which is very fast actually... ). Lets hope they will keep the same pace and start reducing visa issue timelines to 1.5-2 months at max.....

Pls have faith in Sai Baba... i keep praying for everyone. Baba has never sent anyone back empty handed....

Hi SM , Dipan :-

I did not wish to disappoint you with my post but NDVO has their working styles . They have mentioned the processing time of 15 months for processing 80 percent of cases they received in 2013. I believe we should keep at least their processing times in mind before making any perssonal or business plans .

I am also suffering from this *censored word* wait but can't do unless my processing times are over .
I shall urge all forum members to stop waiting and spend some quality time with our families and focus on our current jobs COZ all is in the hands of that almighty. There is very famous line :- "Time feels longer when we keep on waiting "

Enjoy yaar!!

Cheers !! Live your present !!

Dear KB,

Your advice and comment are much appreciated and respected since the day i am been tracking on this forum.

Even i am a believer of living in the present day and have other better options here in India as well if i do not go to Canada. However, i just noticed the forum here on Family Class Sponsorship has applicants who have applied in April and May 2013 and have got DM's and passports in Dec/ Jan. If we consider processing timelines for them and us there is a difference of only 3 months, their processing times is 12 months and ours is 15 months.

The only point of contention here is applicants under that stream are getting their status changed from IP to DM in 1 week or 1 month max...and passports with Visa's back in 8 months whereas majority of PNP applicants are still with IM status after 12 months of submitting applications. And believe you me if NDVO does not submit our passports back with visa's within 15 months also (As per their processing timelines) we still wont be able to do anything! I have no harm in accepting this fact, but this is the hard truth!

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

They do not respond to email, phone calls, in-person inquiries, so what should a person do! Sit back and relax and wait till they do not give us the opportunity to go to Canada...sorry Sir, cant let anyone else decide our fate! Trust me if we do not go before June-July max , then going there shall be a waste of our hard earned money, sitting at home and spending our hard earned savings!

On the other hand, we believe that God shall send us to Canada at the right time (Whenever that happens) and whatever we get will be as per God's will and we have to accept it!!! At the end of the day we realize whatever happens, happens for the good.

But one should not stop trying and fighting for he/she wants in their life.

I understand that application processing depends upon the BF Dates and the Visa Officer as well and there might be many ifs and buts here...but we need to see some light at the end of the tunnel. But as of now it seems to be a dark tunnel!!!

My sincere apologies if i may have sounded rude.

Warm Regards,
Sid
