Hi Chirag - I am a OPNP applicant, but Ontario province granted me Open WP visa even though my PR is in 2nd AOR stage in NDVO. The idea is - one can come to Canada and integrate with the culture/economy faster and earlier even though PR is still under process. Need not wait for PR to come.

I am right now travelling under OWP visa. Once PR is thru, i will have to flagpole at US border to make PR in effect and cancel the OWP visa.

One thing i would like to share. I was very happy when i got the oWP ,after landing i realize i made a big mistake

OWP is worst way to come to canada. I am on Owp ,no body ready to give job on OWP they ask for PR .

I took one year leave from co.

Every person has own opinion .

Its been long time you msg here but really we appreciate feedback those who already landed.
Thanks for letting us know other side of OWP. Please share your experience in Canada.

Dear Kish,

You need to inform the consulate by email on the exact problem/issue for not submitting the passport currently and seek some more time frame.They have opened immigration to welcome candidates across the world as per their labour market need.

PR cancellation happens only in case an applicant is not able to provide the requisite documents or their is any fraud caught by them related to submission of documents etc.

Believe in God and go through multiple forum here only and you will find that many of the candidates have delayed the PPR by sending email to consulate with justified reason. For e.g:Immediate official travel for a month's time as per official commitment..
