Do any of you have any idea how long it takes for the local CIC offices in Toronto to process a PR renewal application that has been sent to them? My parents' file was transferred to them in mid-July and we are wondering when we can expect to hear from them. In the past 5 years, they've been in Canada for 733 days (the minimum requirement is 730 days to maintain PR status). We sent their passport stamps as proof of when they entered and left Canada. They are almost 70, are retired, and totally dependent on us financially and otherwise so there is no other proof we can send (e..g, pay stubs).
In the original renewal application, we requested urgent processing and we sent a copy of the airline tickets and payment receipt as proof that they are going to be traveling in mid-October. I wonder if they will even consider urgent processing.
Any one have any ideas? experiences?
