Time period for Express Entry Selection

I am new to this forum. Would be real help if anyone can let me know if there is any pre defined time period during which the express entry pool candidates are chosen for ITA or is it open all throughout the year?

Typically, draws happen twice a month throughout the year. Sometimes ircc might skip a draw or even conduct an additional draw in a month.
