In the letters applicants receive from the visa office, there is usually a time frame with which to submit the requested document(s).For instance,an applicant is required to provide what is asked within a period of say 45 days. So, if the applicant responds immediately e.g within 5 days,Does the visa officer attend to such a file (since the applicant responded "real" fast) or the file waits till the specified number of days are over? What goes on here..any idea??

Re: Time frame and response time

Hi,

I understand they follow certain procedure to handle the applications received. No immigration application is considered with a priority based on their submission date, but also will not be kept aside waiting to complete the allowed time limit. However, erlier submission is the better.

I hope there is no written rule that a file has to wait till given period of submission time is over . This can greatly reduce the waiting times! :P
