Is it mandatory that I should have work Exp in under shortlisted 29 Occupations or it can be any skilled Job, to avail the points under "Work Exp" factor/attribute ???

FSW can be applied either in Category 1 where the Application must have at least one year of continuous full time or equivalent paid work experience in the last ten years in at least one of the occupational categories identified in the Ministerial Instructions.

OR Category 2 where the applicant you have an offer of arranged employment in Canada.

After opting for any category , comes the Points accumulation for various Factors and 1 such Factor is "Work Experience"

and It is also written clearly that :

To be eligible for points, the applicant’s work experience must:
• have occurred during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of application;
• be in occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) under Skill Type 0
or Skill Level A and B;
• not be in an occupation that has been designated by the Minister as a restricted occupation.
At the time of printing, there were no occupations designated as restricted. However, for the
most up-to-date listing, officers should refer to the Department’s website at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp;

So I am confused whether the Work Exp should be in only the shortlisted 29 Occupations or any skilled Job listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) under Skill Type 0or Skill Level A and B, is enough to avail the points.

Hi,

You do not need to start an entirely new post for every question of yours. It will be better..if you keep your doubts together under one post..so people can refer everything at one place.

Under FSW you need minimum 1 year compulsory valid skilled work experience to apply. If your occupation is falling under the 29 occupations listed, then you do not need a job offer to apply for PR under FSW. If your occupation does not fall under the 29 listed occupation, you will need to have a skilled job offer(arranged employment)to apply for FSW PR. Similarly, to apply under skilled worker stream of various PNPs too..you will need to have a skilled job offer/arranged employment.

It is clearly mentioned that:
For your application to be eligible for processing, you must:

have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
have one year of continuous full-time paid work experience in at least one of the occupations listed here * OR
be an international student enrolled in a PhD program in Canada (or graduated from a Canadian PhD program within the past 12 months) and meet certain criteria.

Check : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Decide for yourself, as to which route you would like to selct..FSW or student's route.

Hope it helps.
