Well the Visa office called my wife Aug 2nd and they are returning her passport with the visa today Aug 11, 2010.


Time line:

April 12, 2010 - Application was received in Mississauga.
May 17, 2010 - The Sponsorship application was approved and the file sent to Brazil for processing
July 7, 2010 - My wife recieved a letter from Brazil office that her PR application was recieved May 26, 2010 and is being processed
July 23, 2010 - Brazil office sent letter asking for wife's passport to issue the Visa
Aug 02, 2010 - Visa issued. Visa office called wife to say they will return the passport in the mail Aug 11, 2010.

I just dont understand how some people get theirs super fast... our application was received in Sao Paulo April 1st... and yes docs were requested but why such a long wait for my wife

Yes i hope she flies to Sao monday morn and interview tuesday.Nothing to do till then i guess but wait to see what happens.But i think nez broke a record lol.

I was able to log into e-cas today and it shows decision made on my sponsorship..they have sent a letter on August 8. The only address they list is mine, as the sponsor. Does this mean they are mailing it to me?

Yes, they will mail the decision to you!

I thought they mailed the decision to the person being sponsored and are asked for their passport no?

I believe that is for the second part of the process. I was just asking about the sponsorship letter.

Just sent off the funds for her to go to Sao Paulo,god im going to have to start stripping or hooking on the street soon.Anyone want to hire an unexperienced male dancer for a party $5.00 and no i dont make change.lol I wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad. 5 days till the outcome.

I feel your pain..lol...this has been a very expensive process for sure. Between flights every couple months, lost wages due to travel, extra expenses and fees, childcare and other costs...omg! I work fulltime, overtime, and do anything and everything I can do to bring in extra $ (almost..lol). He works almost constantly as well just to make this work...I will be sooo glad when we can both work to maintain ONE household

Im providing two households on my own lol.She makes a total of $300 CAD a month and thats the norm there.So im working like a 16 year old trying to buy his first car lol.
