For those of you who were asked by London to supply additional documents, how long after London had received your file did they contact you with the request?

I think they had mine for around 4 months before they told me I needed to get a RCMP check done.

Hi, they received my file on 2nd February 2010 and it took them until the 18th of April to ask me for additional information. I sent the additional information in the first couple of days in May, and have yet to hear anything since.

They recieved our file on April the 7th email request for additional documents on June 1 we sent document
via web form to them and we got the passport request on June 6th. Hope that helps. This is all 2011 Good Luck.

hi, any body know the answer to my previous question pretty please?

i have an additional document i need to send to the london visa office...
am awaiting sponsorship approval....
so
do i wait till our file is transferred to london?
also what is the address to send additional documentation to?

Wait until you are given a file number before sending any additional information.
You can send docs via the webform, just scan it and attach as a pdf file.

I have a question, the spreadsheet you are uppdating concerns mostly british citizens right? I am from a swedish citizen, do you know if they make differences between the nationalities?

Yes I do update it myself. Its just nice for others to see exact timelines. I know it was very helpful for me, even though my processing time ended up being the fastest one on there. I just got lucky I guess!

I didnt send anything notarised, except for the marriage certificate. We got extra copies of that when we got married for the application and other stuff like bank accounts and getting a new passport etc.
Everything else was just photocopies. I did colour copies.

Hey, I will add you, but I dont understand your timeline.
How come it took so long to get sponsor approval, and how did you get AOR before the file transfer?
You are supposed to get the AOR when London receives your file.
