How to submit additional documents to London VO what is their contact.
If LVO requested documents via MyCIC and they only need scanned or electronic copies, then attach them to the request on your MyCIC account.

OR, send them as an electronic attachment via a webform.

IF they requested originals, then by courier to the postal address:

Canada House,
5 Trafalgar Square,
London UK
SW1Y 5BJ

They sent an e-mail and didn't specify how to send them back the requested documents.
Thanks for your help.

Hey all, just found this thread! I was wondering if you could add me to the spreadsheet. I am the Sponsor, wife of PA. My husband is PA, who is a Polish citizen but has been living in the UK for the past 10 years. In Nov 18, we received a letter asking for additional documents, also they stated we did not have enough proof that I was willing to move back to Canada if he gets approved. So I bought a plan ticket the next week and moved back to Toronto, Canada, where my husband still unfortunately resides in Oxford, UK. Here's our timeline:

Application Received : February 19, 2018
AOR1 : March 30, 2018
Med Req: April 5, 2018
Med Complete: April 10, 2018
Application Linked: April 4, 2018
SA: April 7, 2018
File Transfer to London VO: June 19, 2018
Request for Additional Documents: Nov 20, 2018
Request for Extension Approved: Dec 5, 2018
Submitted all Remaining Required Documents: Jan 4, 2019

We are hoping if we don't hear anything from them by May, that we will have him come over as a visitor for 6 months as I am due to have our first child in May. Fingers crossed we hear from them sooner as this month marks 1 year anniversary of our Application received. Been a long, hard process which I am sure you all can relate to. :(

Thank you for volunteering your timeline, I have added you to the spreadsheet (see the link in my signature line). Just post updates here.

As regards 'proof' of intent to return to Canada, some useful stuff here:

https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada/FAQ_-_New_Application_Forms#Item_2:_How_do_I_prove_I_intend_to_return_to_Canada.3F

I managed to 'prove' it without request for further information, despite not having lived in Canada since 1967 as a young teenager!

No reason why your husband couldn't join you at any time as a visitor under 'dual intent', some useful reading on that here. He is from a visa exempt country, so would need an ETA and couldn't work of course until your CoPR comes through and he then 'lands' (or flagpoles).

https://britishexpats.com/wiki/Spousal_Sponsorship-Canada#Can_I_wait_in_Canada_while_my_application_is_being_processed:_Dual_Intent

I would have thought the request for more information will have knocked you back by 4 - 6 weeks. Having said that, I would have thought you should get decision made at any time in the next 2 - 8 weeks.

Thank you so much @Hurlabrick for your very helpful reply! It is so greatly appreciated.

Upon our original application sent, we supplied proof of my return back to Canada with letters from my parents stating they would financially support us/house us (they both work for the Government - father Ontario Power Generation and mother Health Department) as well as a letter from my past employer stating he would offer us both a job upon arrival. You think that would have been enough from them! Also considering I had only left Canada 3 years ago. Just goes to show Immigration process is a very tricky process and they can be very particular!

LVO office stated it would take 28 days to reply back after we submitted our documents, also a medical exam completed (Jan 3, 2019) of my husband's son who is in his mother's full custody in Poland and will not be accompanying us to Canada. But nothing yet. Will be updating here when we finally hear from them.

Hi All!

I've been curious to know, is it a good thing if my hubby's GCkey (PA from Plymouth, England) has been in BGC since we got AOR1? ("Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.") Is this a good thing? Is it because we already sent the police check? Does it mean the application is still gonna go to LVO? My timeline is in my siggy.

Probably these are silly questions but I was curious as usually BGC usually happens in the later part of the application from what I know so it's really been nagging the back of my mind!

Many thanks in advance!

The 'background check' could relate to the sponsor. Having said that, CIC are constantly tinkering with the process and I have heard of others who have had their background check carried out far earlier (like yours). I wouldn't take it as a sign that final decision is imminent.

You have only just had the medical requested, they will not forward on to the VO until they get the medical back and all of the PA's papers are complete. So if I were you, I wouldn't expect to get AOR2 and advice of VO for at least 4 - 6 weeks.

Would you want your timeline entered onto the tracking spreadsheet? I have all of the information I need for this, all you have to do is to remember to post updates on this thread??

Web forms allow you to attach a file, use that.

Yeas but does not allow excel file and my file does not convert supported files.
Get someone to convert it to a PDF for you. Loads of ways on the internet to do this. Try 'printing' to the 'Microsoft Print to PDF' printer driver. If you don't know how to do this, find a friend who does, it is very easy!

Thanks for the information! I've already been approved as sponsor but I didn't consider that they would still be doing background check on me still so it is interesting. Anyway I have nothing to hide so they can have at it! :D

Yes, I can add to the tracking sheet. I've been following another thread from other outland applications from Nov 2018 but I can update this one too. I'll be sure to keep adding information as I get it!
