This is the second time I hear about photos being required later in the process but I have never seen any official documentation about this. What are these photos? I submitted some photos with the application as outlined in the checklist. Does it have something to do with those?

The y should be able to use the photos you sent with the PR application (provided they were taken according to the official specification). Certainly for us (i.e. my wife) we took one set of photos and they obviously used these for the PR Card as her card was issued about 3 months after we landed without a request for fresh photos.

However, I have seen several people say that they have been asked for new photos for the PR Card with no reason given (certain the original photos were correct). The cynic in me wonders if this is something the PR Card processing centre does if they know they won't meet processing timescales, as they get to 'restart the clock' if further information is needed.

Yes these are the photos we sent to London to use for the CoPR. My understanding is that it is these photos they use to make the PR card. but the wife was also photographed at immigration too, so confused.

If the photos weren't up to spec. London should have said so. I had same issue with my Son's passport - there the scan came out too dark and so the photographer here bumped up the brightness and contrast and it went through. It might be the same here, again.

I think IIRC needs to improve this process somewhere.

Just popping in here to say that even though this thread is quiet (waaaay to quiet for my liking!) I am in a whatsapp group for LVO and there have been a few September applicants getting their decision made.

The group is for LVO and most of the applicants aren't British like me (mostly Pakistan, New Delhi etc) but I scroll through every so often to see what's moving..

Here's hoping this thread will see some activity soon!

Updates like this are appreciated. WhatsApp, like Google, is blocked in China so I'm unable to check that. I know my way around the Google block because I can access that service through my computer but I'd have to fix the troubles that I'm experiencing on my phone to do the same for WhatsApp. So, thank you!

As I said I don't really keep up with it that much as I find it a bit much and they aren't many Brits in it (I'm British). I scroll through every so often for date updates on it but that's about it. (And I don't get notifications for it )

My wife is in Dubai and our application was forwarded to LVO around 3rd week of May. We had to do the webform because she moved to a different address. I am just wondering if that will delay the progress of the process?

We initially sent an email to London Visa office but we got a reply that we should be sending the email directly to IRCC.

There's absolutely no reason to think an address change would delay it.
