I posted the same thing on the october thread but thought I would post here since everyone is so desperate for some sort of news.

Well can't decide if it is good news our bad news. We just got an email from London around 3pm uk time for those that want to know. We apparently didn't include the 5406 additional family information forum. My husband swears he filled it out and signed it. I don't ever rememeber seeing it. It was off and in the mail in the half hour and will arrive tomorrow morning. Real mixed feelings going on. I am happy they are at least processing. My husband is really fixated on being sent back to the bottom of the never ending pile, meaning a three month delay. Is already talking about just flying over- tomorrow if he had his way. Trying to keep spirits up.
Did they give you a sticker to put on the front of the envelope before sending it back?

I am starting to think that it is faster to go through as a common law couple rather than married! What do you guys and gals think?

And if so, is this all to do with the "marriage for convenience" problems?

I hate to break it to you but I went through common law and I have yet to hear a peep, I also applied in September! I think it is just the luck of the draw... and it is getting very depressing...

There was no sticker as it was an email. They asked that we include our file number (Given to us in the email) on the top left hand of the envelope and corresponance we sent.

I doubt that this is a marriage of convenience issue, more like general fraud/misrepresentation and a lot of cautiousness.
Of course, workload.

Have you seen the list of countries that London has to deal with?

Not every country has a VO, so UK deals with Channel Islands, Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Wales (and Skilled Worker and Business Class applications from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen)

Am I supposed to get a letter from the london office comfirming that they received our application? I got sponsorship approval dated the 10th of december, and I've not heard anything since. Is it possible they are working on it without sending any kind of letter saying so?

They processed my whole application with no communication from London CIC at all, first I knew they actually had it, other than the initial sponsorship approval letter was my PPR letter.

eCas doesn't always update either, I still am not able to see anything about my application on eCas, the only thing it shows is the sponsorship approval, it doesn't even say In Process.

Hey Peeps,
Just had an hour and 10 mins interview at the london CHC office yesterday and the VO promised to get back to me via email to tell me the outcome and said she would request for passport if her decission is positive after review, she did mentioned I would need to pay landing fees before I told her we have already paid all fees, so she promised getting back. But my question is how long does it normally take VO from london office to get back to applicant after interview? And why didnt she give me the visa right away after the interview?
Anyone had this experience before???? Pls help!!!!!!!

I am a Canadian Citizen sponsoring my British husband and having a total nightmare with our application in London. They have had his PR application in London since October 2010 and then asked for 2 police certificates from France and New Zealand where he lived 10 years ago. They received the French one months ago and the New Zealand one got lost in the post or it hasn't arrived yet. They say it can take them weeks to even open their post from Sydney. We have since Fedex'ed another form but still no joy.

Would love to know after all this how long it might take to get it approved?! I am planning on leaving the UK next month and leaving my husband here. I can't find out anywhere if he can come and join me in Canada while he waits for his PR to be approved. He wouldn't work etc. Will this mess up our application and will he have to come back to London to pick up his PR once it is approved or can he collect it in Canada??? Any help would be appreciated!!
