I have added you to the spreadsheet. No, I only mentioned your AOR because you specifically asked for it. When you get your sponsor approval letter, most likely in the form of an attachment to an email if you provided your email address, it will have your file number, and in my case the file name of the attachment included my wife's UCI.

Good luck with your application, keep us updated with the progress by posting in this thread.

Dave can you let us know how the landing goes, as this is where my husband will flag pole from too .. Congratulations and good luck ..
I landed tonight at about 6PM. The whole thing was real simple. We drove into the U.S, declared that we were entering with the intention to flagpole and land at Canada. The U.S officer asked a few questions about my expired U.S student visa, then directed us to a bay to wait. We waited a while before another officer told us to follow him in our car. We did, he stopped us near the first booth, collected our passports and our refusal of entry into the U.S form, and pointed us back to Canada.

We drove back over the bridge, answered the CSBA officers questions and told them I was landing as a PR under the spousal class. She gave us a ticket thing and told us to pull into a parking bay and enter the brick building on the left. Inside the building were a few wickets, I was the only one in there. I was seen super quick, I first had to show my CoPR and sign it to confirm my consent and stuff. I sat down for a while whilst this was processed, then I went up, got my passport with the CoPR stapled inside. Then I went to a wicket for my B4 and B4a forms. The officer read through them, signed them and asked me to sign, then gave me a photocopy of every page as she stamped them all. Then to a final wicket for a "reciept" saying I had brought goods in but there was no tax owed. Got that and I was free to go! PR card should be about 6-8 weeks but I think the average is 90 days right now. Tomorrow I'm off to Service Ontario and the DriveTest Center for my SIN, OHIP, and licence.

Hello Everyone.

We just received the GCMS notes this morning, our application is still listed as 'in progress' and the only thing listed as 'in progress' in the notes is our medical. We called the medical center and they have confirmed that they sent in our results on August 25th 2015. it is now almost 4 months later, we still haven't heard anything from london, and the last entry in the notes was made on August 21st 2015. is this normal? could this mean they didn't receive our medical results?

also in the notes, under security, it just says "status' and nothing under it, what does it mean? Everything else says passed.

thanks everyone for the help!

Hi Andrew.

She is from London but is living (visiting ;->) with me in Toronto.
I suspect that I'm probably older than the average applicant here. I'm 60 & my wife is 47... Not that it should make any difference.

We are very aware of the 6 month rule on visiting & generally go back to visit her parents every few months.
We are applying outland.
I have not received SA yet so thanks for the update on processing times for this.

Does this mean that if I don't get an official AOR then I won't get a UCI or file number?
I log on to Ecas using the receipt number I got after I paid upfront as we lost the SA letter so maybe you could try that since you paid upfront. It should be in your email confirmation.

Wow, that was super fast! Congratulations! I'm really interested in seeing whether more June/July/August applications get approved soon... (Of course they should get the 2014 applications done first.)

I am secretly hoping we will get a similar strike of luck with a fast DM - CIC is taking their sweet time with my co-op work permit, which I need by January 4th. It would be amazing to get PR instead and not even need the work permit.

No, you can't. You can try applying now and hope that it gets processed fast in London, or you can defer the start of your program for a semester or two. See the International Students forum for more info, this thread is for spousal sponsorship.

If it isn't a glitch or mistake it took just shy of 4 months from the date the application was filed. I am still expecting this to be a mistake and don't want to get too excited. But if it is right, it looks like there have been some serious changes in the LVO.

YIKES sorry in advance for the long-winded question:
My partner forwarded me an email from CIC this morning saying that they had requested a document (Stat Dec of Common Law Union) on October 23rd and since 45 days were given the document is required within 7 days now. But we did not receive a request on the 23rd. I looked back in the inbox and that was the day that we received the generic email about proof of intent to reside/change in fam status - but nothing else and no mention of this document. We've written back noting this and that we will not be able to get this document until the 16th (when I fly to England to visit) but they might not get the email within 7 days. Is there anything else that I can do? Should I send an explanation letter in the mail as well and hope that it arrives in time?

One more quick question - do you have to show the notary your proof of common-law? We're one of those cases that don't have a lot of the traditional things like joint lease (I lived there already) or life insurance or joint bank, but lots of other proof (mail proof shared address, tax status, travel photos, family letters etc). Would we need to show these things since we aren't checking off the main lease, insurance, bank boxes etc.

Thanks for any advice you could provide! :)
Definitely regretting not just adding this doc in the first place.

QUERY QUERY QUERY

I was just checking my most recent correspondence from CIC via LVO and the UCI number is different from the one originally sent. The last digit on the latest letter is 6 when my previous number ended in 8. Would this make a difference in my application even though the application no is the same? If it does I'm going to go mental.
