Line No.2 is added in the eCAS status today, it is still “in process” though.

1. We received XXXX XXXX's application for permanent residence on September 10, 2014.
2. We started processing XXXX XXXX's application on November 12, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received.

Is the CIC playing tricks with us? They put us on “In Process” on Aug 10, only after my wife sent them CSE on Aug 05.

We are the same. Few days after we sent CSE we went IP. Your timeline is a bit more realistic to be starting processing though.

I emailed London office asking if there was rhyme or reason (in the nicest possible way) as to why some applicants begin processing before others. Mine was submitted Nov 2014. My fiancée and I are now pregnant and are really depending on that residency to come through so he can start working before I have to stop. we have been struggling as it is this year and I am hoping for some clarification or answers as to what their process is for starting applications that arrive in June 2015 over ones from 2014. l'll let you know what they say.

Does anyone know the answer to this. I'm from the UK so I'm visa exempt, so when I entered Canada all I got was a stamp in my passport. I've got around 3 months left as a visitor. Can I apply to extend this now? The reason I ask is the New Brunswick government won't let me swap my UK licence for a Canadian one without the visitor record paperwork. My hands are also tied when it comes landing as I can't get to the border without my licence.

You can absolutely apply online to extend it now. I just got my visitor permit extended and it was a 3 months processing time! (although you are on implied status while you wait after your permit expires) I know someone who applied earlier than the suggested 30 days as they didn't want a gap in healthcare cover. Sask would let me get a license with proof I'd applied and proof of paying fees, but NB may not I guess, worth asking.

How long have you been in Canada? From what I have been told, one is allowed to drive on their foreign licence for up to 6 months.

Ah, I looked it up. It is 6 months here in BC, but unfortunately 3 months in NB.

3 months, the problem is I can't hire a car as I have no credit card and I can't swap my UK licence for a Canadian one without some kind of immigration paperwork.
