I believe the process changed recently. We could do a show of hands of those who quoted their UK address as oppose to those quoting Canadian and see the results? Perhaps an extra column in the spreadsheet?
Please provide the proof/article for reference. CPC-M and CPC-O have been keeping applications since early 2014, not just recently. And as I stated I entered both as my Canadian address and mine went to London.

COPR received today, only extended my medical by a couple of weeks so we have to land by 9th July. Not sure whether to hit the whisky or the red bull.
Spreadsheet updated, good luck with landing!

ALL. The reason why some applications are being processed in Mississauga is if the principal applicant states their residential and mailing address as one in Canada!

If your not actually living in Canada you would have probably stated your UK address on the application form.

If you are living in Canada but still used your residential address as the UK one, don't be surprised if you application is being processed in London office and not MISSISSAUAGA!!!
Used Irish residential address and application was sent to Ottawa...so not sure how accurate this info is

I don't actually have a proof or article as such. A question though - is the location column "N" on the spreadsheet actually where the principal resides?

Poggyb seems to have received COPR via processing in Mississauga though lives in UK? Can we ask what address they provided in the application. Is there anything different in Poggyb's situation? Plus CL and not even married.

Yes, column N is the principal applicant's location.

thanks for letting me know. I have pre-emptively written to London to ask if we should redo our medicals or if they can extend them by 3 months for us but as yet have not heard anything back...
I think as Warzo said its at the discretion of the officer, I'm not sure whether they will actually tell you until you have COPR in hand. I think as far as I've seen if they want you to do another one they will let you know otherwise they will extend. Not too helpful for planning though!

Same as Andrewbrit..... I'm in Canada, Canadian address NOT uk... mine went to London :( I'm afraid this theory does not hold true. It was floated by someone else a while back and was disproved then I believe.

Hi guys,

I just saw a message in my ecas today .. Under sponsorship it says "Decision Made" with a new line "We sent you a letter on May 5, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

I thought they will send me an email, but it says I will receive in mail.

Problem is I just moved to a new address, I did update my address online but it not worked (changed on April 3, 2015 and online shows my old address). Not sure if the mail will be delivered at my old place or my current one. Bit confuse about what to do.. any idea how can I solve?

Might as well go back to UK, earn in British Pounds, come back and build a fortress during this waiting game. Better than earning in Canadian dollars.

Ours went to Mississauga, but I don't believe there is any correlation to the address on the application form. I haven't seen anything that suggests there is. Plenty to suggest otherwise.

Location Edmonton, Edmonton address provided. (Use of a representative as well)

erm...

Ok..

The wait isn't THAT long. I went in thinking 12 months would be the earliest we would get it and thinking 16-18 would be more accurate. Based on the ECAS processing times. You're right though, if you can work in the UK you absolutely should.

We submitted in December, and I thought I would be lucky to see my spouse back in Canada working by the following Christmas.

Are you the sponsor or the applicant? The sponsor approval letter will be addressed to the sponsor.

You could try calling the call center and ask which address the letter was sent to, say that you recently changed your address and you want to make sure you receive the letter. Did you set up mail forwarding?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

Yes I just called them ...

1. They have my new address (current) in their system, as per the agent any communication will be sent in the address that is in their system.

2. Decision has been made. As per their system, they have not yet sent the decision to me. Probably it will be sent by next week and most probably in email.

3. The agent was not able to know what the decision is and where my wife's (PA) application has been forwarded.

There must be a reason some applications are being sent to Mississauga. No way can it be in discretion of the officer in charge processing the application. There must be a set process.

And yes, honestly if the waiting time is really 12 months I might as well go come back and buy a house outright.

My SA letter never turned up to either myself or the PA so we contacted the call centre and they forwarded me a copy of the letter to my email on the same day. So maybe if you don't receive it soon try them again.

Since they have now caught up with the New Delhi appications, they may very well stop this process for London apps.
