Hello!
Now that our app has moed to "in process", it has got me worried that the decision made may be bad news! Anyone heard of that? What if they say no- for whatever reason?
They will absolutely not give you a refusal, without first asking for further information or at the very worst, bringing you in for an interview. Don't worry!

Also, I went in process March 13th if someone could please update the spreadhseet? Thank you!

Oh, and, as an FYI, I went in process 2 days after I emailed them just generally bugging them about my file. It doesn't seem that they are as against correspondence as I thought (I was worried I might be shooting myself in the foot if I bugged them) but it seems like it got them to open my file :)

Also, sorry, where do I submit it to? Can I send it online? The website is telling me absolutely nothing about the process or how to get it to CIC. Do I send it to London or Mississauga? Is it a physical document or digital? How do you get fingerprints?

Oh god.

I'm so freaking out. It feels like I drank 20 cups of coffee I can't stop shaking.

Dont panic!

You mail it. The address is at the bottom of the linked page there. You'll need to go to your local police station and you'll get the form, and your fingerprints there. it looks like you'll need to bring your ID with you to the police station too.

So, head to the local police station, get the forms, fill them out, get your fingerprints taken and then mail it to Ottawa!

I actually found this http://www.commissionaires-cgl.ca/

It's a little more expensive ($81) but it takes some of the pressure off and is a lot quicker so I'm going to go that route.

Sorry for leaking my freak all over the forum, the whole thing just caught me by surprise!

Thanks for the reply DGT :)

Thanks scottishmaple, sfeire and blueboom for the congrats!

So my COPR has already been delivered, however after they emailed offering me an extension, my medical didn't get extended (even though I replied and asked if it could be) so now I have to work out how I can flagpole affordably in the next 8 weeks...

Just one more hoop!! Of course :) A quick question, where do I find this B4 customs form that everyone talks about? Is it simple enough to fill out?

DO NOT GO TO THE POLICE STATION. They cannot help you, and you will need to get a private company to handle this for you. In Toronto, I used The National Pardon Centre at 2 Carlton St who also handle RCMP police certificate requests.

I was in the same boat for my last IEC visa as apparently I have a similar name to a known criminal! So you go here (or a place like fingerscan), pay the fee, and they take photos and prints and submit it electronically to the RCMP on your behalf. The whole process from the day you get this done to receiving the cert in the post should be 7-10 days.

Whatever you do or whoever you choose to use if not these guys, DO NOT POST your application form for the police cert to RCMP as this takes months to process for some reason, and you will miss the deadline. You then physically post the certificate to London.

Is there a thread dedicated to what exactly needs to go on the B4? I'm in Canada so everything that I could be bringing from the UK will be coming from memory, and it's been a good couple years since I've seen a lot of this stuff. So things like serial numbers and whatnot are not going to be possible to get.

Thanks :)

PS, Today is the day I start stalking the post office, haha.

Thanks DGT! Didn't realise all the info was with my COPR, my mum is just telling me what's in there now before she gets it to me!

So my Decision Made was actually March 12th. Only 3 days difference, I bet it happened because I stopped checking ecas every day ;) lol

I had been wondering and searching for the same thing Woffles. I also have not seen my UK possessions for a good few years! The only stuff I have with me is 2 suitcases that I travel my life in for work!! I am hoping to get my UK stuff moved out to Canada.

Thanks! Still worried. They asked us to redo the background check form about 6 weeks ago, then today we got an email asking my husband to explain the expunged trespassing charge. Which we hadn't mentioned because it was expunged. This waiting is torture! Now i think they might ask for rcmp clearance because he has been here for two years. Not that he has been arrested but the extra wait will be awful...
